IVANA BODROŽIĆ was born in Vukovar, Croatia. Her published works include the poetry collections The First Step into Darkness and A Crossing for Wild Animals, and a short story collection 100% Cotton. Her first novel, The Hotel Tito, won three major awards in Croatia and the Prix Ulyssefor Best Debut Novel in France. She is also the author of We Trade Our Night For Someone Else's Day and Sons, Daughters, which won the EBRD Literature Prize 2025.
