Join us with Nora Lange and Jude Cook in conversation at Caper, Oxford on 18 June, 7pm.

Nora Lange is the author of the short fiction collection Day Care and the award-winning novel Us Fools, a tragicomic coming-of-age story set during the Midwest farm crisis of 1980s America. Her work has been praised for its sharp humour, emotional precision, and incisive explorations of contemporary womanhood.

Jude Cook is a critic, novelist and interviewer whose writing has appeared in publications including the Financial Times, The Spectator and The Times.

Together, they will discuss Us Fools — described by Molly Young in The New York Times as a "Great American Novel" and by NPR as "a razor-sharp critique of American capitalism" — as well as Day Care, a collection of stories about lust, estrangement and self-preservation that are by turns hilarious and savage.

Perfect for readers of Ottessa Moshfegh, Sheila Heti, Rachel Cusk, Miranda July and Rita Bullwinkel.
