SHERE HITE (1942-2020) was an American-born German sex educator, writer, model, and feminist who authored such works as The Hite Report: A Nationwide Study of Female Sexuality and The Hite Report on Male Sexuality. She was director of the National Organization for Women’sFeminist Sexuality Project, vice president of the International Women Writers Association, and lecturer at New York University, Harvard University, McGill University, Columbia University, and Cambridge University.
