Artem Chapeye
ARTEM CHAPEYE is a Ukrainian author of both creative non-fiction and popular fiction, born in Kolomyia and now based in Kyiv. He has published two novels and four non-fiction books and is a five-time finalist for the BBC Ukraine Book of the Year Award. His story ‘The Ukraine’ was excerpted in The New Yorker and included in Chapeye’s short fiction and non-fiction collection, The Ukraine. A past recipient of fellowships from the Central European Initiative and the Paul Celan Programme, he serves on the board of PEN Ukraine.
